Description
Candidates with a PhD in materials chemistry and engineering, or the physical sciences, and with a strong background in materials nanofabrication and nanopatterning are sought to work on a Bio-Inpsired photonic project based on softpolymer with shape memory properties.
In particular, we are seeking a recent graduate with strong interest in interdisciplinary research with a strong background in polymer materials, optical properties, and nanofabricaiton.
The initial appointment shall be for one-year with a possible one year extension based upon performance evaluation and continuity of funding. In particular, candidates with a strong interest in creative methods for large scale nanofabrication are encouraged to apply (Be specific describing experience with polymer patterning, nanoimprint, etc). Salary is competitive and will reflect prior research experience.
